NZL. Apr 27, 2013. #1. Was driving around the other day and when I shifted into 3rd gear, and pushed the peddle to the floor my Bravo lost its acceleration/power; the turbo was running on all bars on the display ( full bore) but the rev's where only climbing very slowly - it's like I was bogged down. When i got home I had a look at the brake
Power loss from engine to wheels is approximately 18% on a manual car. So 134 - 18% is 110, far below the 120 advertised. That, and manufacturers usually only give the engine power figure, I'd say the 120 is just under-rated and some vehicles will come out with quite a bit more. I want to get my car on a RR 'cause it doesn't feel like only 120hp!
The Fiat Linea T Jet becomes the first car in its segment to get a Turbocharged Petrol engine. The 16 valve DOCH 1368cc FIRE engine is plunked with an turbo unit which now makes 114 PS at 5000 rpm
This is a 2007 Fiat Bravo T-Jet 150hp and this is how it's sound after some 1st stage modifications.
There are loads of old threads but they are pretty confusing. In a nutshell the turbo's that fit: VL36 - from Abarth Grande/bravo 150 VL38 - from Abarth 500/Mito 155 Both are a straight swap using the original manifold and will give similar gains but will need a remap to get the best out of them.
I just sold my 2.4 Stilo Abarth, and replaced with Grande Punto 1.4 T-Jet and if anyone prior had told me that a 1.4 engine could be as powerfull and as fast as a 2.4 i would have laughed, but Fiat managed it. Ive driven the new Bravo 1.9 m-jet 150 as well and im also very impressed with that. Alfa and Fiat are so far ahead with the development
