A "-2" Dioptric Adjustment Lens is only an additional -1 diopter. The number indicates the middle of the control range with the lens fitted. Without the lens you get a range of +1 to -3 with a middle of -1, with the -2 lens you get a range of 0 to -4 with a middle of -2.
